Valentine’s Day Facts
💕 Each year nearly 250 million roses are grown in preparation for Valentine's Day. Roses cannot grow in colder temperatures which means they are shipped in from other countries like Ecuador, Kenya, or Columbia.
💕 According to the National Retail Foundation, last year Americans spent nearly $26 billion on Valentine's Day gifts. This year, the average person is expected to spend about $193 on Valentine's Day.
💕 Hallmark Cards produced their first Valentine's card in 1913.
💕 On February 14th there are about 145 million Valentine's Day cards exchanged according to Hallmark. That does not include those that kids exchanged in classrooms!
